Download Ping Patch:
This patch can be applied to Ping (Debian GNU/Linux netkit-base-0.10-9) in order to provide output similar to that found in Cisco's IOS. Specifically, when called with the '-C' flag, Ping will display (xx/yy) as the last output field on a line. 'xx' is the number of ICMP echo reply packets received, and 'yy' is the number of echo request packets transmitted. This permits the user to more easily detect packet loss while Ping is running.
